Camp Postcard
“Camp Postcard” stands for Peace Officers Striving to Create And Reinforce Dreams.  It is an initiative of The Volunteers Of America and provides important life lessons for youth.  Denver District 4 Police Commander William Nagle discussed his experiences with this amazing program.

How Handwriting Helped Build Our Nation
How important was handwriting during the time of our founding? It was not official until there was a signed calligraphy copy!  Is the “handwriting on the wall” for the future of handwriting? Our “18th century” guest will discuss the past, present, and future of writing.

The Conifer Historical Society’s restored example of the “one room school house” is on the National Register of Historical Places. We will also see a slide show about its restoration and the landmark “Yellow Barn.” Our guide will be a Conifer retired teacher and historical society member.

Colorado Freedom Memorial
Rick Crandall, President of the Colorado Freedom Memorial
Foundation, provides an inside look into how the memorial went from an idea to a reality and what it took to get it there. It is the only memorial of its kind in the country and is a place of reflection and remembrance for all Coloradans killed or missing in action.

Monday, Oct 14, 2019 Hotel De Paris Museum Field Trip
This is the only site on the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Colorado.  The museum collects, preserves, and shares history and culture associated with Louis Dupuy’s Hotel De Paris.  Museum Executive Director will be speaking about deciphering information found on gravestones.
